Halloween is around the corner! Have you dreamed of making Halloween costumes for your kids, but lacked the space, time off, sewing machine, helpful friend, ect to make it happen? During this four week course, you will select a commercial pattern of your choice (included in course price), take measurements of your child to ensure fit, receive instruction on how to choose fabrics, and assemble the full costume in class. Special safety tips such as including reflective tapes into seams will be discussed. This is a beginner class. Students should have rudimentary sewing skills. If you are a more experienced sewist, you are welcome to make multiple costumes (1 pattern per person is included in course, further patterns can be purchased from EcoEquitable).
Included: Pattern of your choice, anything from the Simplicity Costume commercial patterns, sewing machine during class time, classroom time, and teacher.
Not included: Fabric
Michelle Ferranti is a talented and experienced costume designer who loves to support students in developing their sewing knowledge and skills.
Written notice of cancellation may be processed with a full refund (minus a 10% admin fee) two weeks prior to the course starting. Cancellations received 1 week prior to the course are eligible for a 50% refund unless there is a wait list for the course. Cancellations within the final week prior to the course are non-refundable unless there is a wait list for the course and the course can be run with full attendance.
