This course will focus on the exciting area of visual fashion merchandizing. The role of visual merchandizing cannot be overstated for anyone planning, launching or in the early stages of a business. The role of the visual merchandizer is to creatively engage and construct a store experience that plays with customer’s psychological convenience and interest level in a store.
Visual merchandisers are responsible for store design - how the store is going to look like both inside and outside, generating 3D store layouts, working with planograms, and designing & constructing window displays. The job of a visual merchandiser is to work with the store manager and sales associates, understand what the best sellers are and highlight the new arrivals or the best merchandise. Visual merchandizers are responsible for, first, bringing the prospective client in the store and then keeping the client engaged withing the store to maximize sales. Visual merchandizers are the “silent sellers”, they help the store to generate revenue by creating interesting “in trend” displays and easy & accessible store design. They want client to be comfortable in our store and literally enjoy their time while they shop for themselves and their dear ones.
