This is a great class to take if you have ever wanted to make something for that special child in your life. You will be learning to make a party dress, and a pair of pair of one of a kind pants, and a sweatshirt.
You will learn
- To sew with satin, how to sew in a zipper to a lined garment, how to hem the dress, how to sew in tule.
- How to sew children's sweat pants with pockets and an adjustable elastic waistband
- How to sew a knit top with knits or with polar fleece
In this 8 week course you will not only enjoy the company with an experienced dressmaker but you will also be able to spent a Saturday afternoon sharing with others as create you one of a kind garments.
Prerequisite: Sewing II, or Intermediate sewing abilityStudents are asked to bring the patterns of the garments they are interested in making during the class.
Students will need a domestic sewing machine, iron, and basic sewing kit at home to practice and complete their garments. EcoEquitable will supply the sewing machine during class as well as fabric when possible.

Written notice of cancellation may be processed with a full refund (minus a 10% admin fee) two weeks prior to the course starting. Cancellations received 1 week prior to the course are eligible for a 50% refund unless there is a wait list for the course. Cancellations within the final week prior to the course are non-refundable unless there is a wait list for the course and the course can be run with full attendance.
