Does your wardrobe include that one dress, blouse or pair of jeans which are so perfect you wish you could clone them? With this class you will learn how to do just that.
You will be learning how to:
- Recreate your favorite garments by learning how to make a pattern from an existing piece of clothing
- Choosing the right fabric for you clone
- How to take the right measurements
- Where to put important markings
- Making adjustment to the final fit
Let’s face it, a great fitting garment is the ultimate satisfaction, especially if you sew it yourself! With these pattern making tips, you can recreate your favorite garment time and time again!
Students will need a domestic sewing machine, iron, and basic sewing kit at home to practice and complete their garments
EcoEquitable will supply the sewing machine during class as well as fabric when possible
Prerequisite: Patternmaking II, and advanced sewing ability
Beginner sewing ability: very little knowledge of sewing
Intermediate sewing ability: Has some sewing knowledge able to successfully sew a garment following a pattern
Advanced sewing ability: Has been sewing for some time is able to follow a sewing pattern and also make fitting modifications to a pattern as well as garment design changes to patterns.

Written notice of cancellation may be processed with a full refund (minus a 10% admin fee) two weeks prior to the course starting. Cancellations received 1 week prior to the course are eligible for a 50% refund unless there is a wait list for the course. Cancellations within the final week prior to the course are non-refundable unless there is a wait list for the course and the course can be run with full attendance.
